Dear Friend
I’m so glad you’re here.
If you’ve found your way to this page, perhaps you’re carrying a burden that feels too heavy to bear. Maybe you’re grieving someone you love. Perhaps you’ve experienced betrayal, disappointment, loneliness, illness, or a season of waiting that has left you wondering if God still sees you.
I’ve discovered something over the years that has become an anchor for my soul:
God is close to the brokenhearted.
Not because life is easy.
Not because we always understand His plan.
But because He has promised His presence.
Psalm 34:18 tells us,
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Those words have comforted countless believers for generations, and they continue to comfort me today. They remind us that God does not stand at a distance from our pain. He draws near. He walks beside us through the valleys we never wanted to enter. He gathers every tear and gently reminds us that we are never alone.
As I look back over my own life, I can see moments I never would have chosen. There have been seasons of heartbreak, loss, unanswered questions, and circumstances that seemed impossible to understand. Yet through every chapter, one truth has remained constant: God has been faithful.
He has taken what was broken and begun restoring it.
He has brought hope where I could only see despair.
He has reminded me again and again that redemption is not merely something He did in the pages of Scripture—it is something He is still doing today.
That is why this blog exists.
Not because I have all the answers.
Not because life has been perfect.
But because I know the One who redeems.
Here you’ll find Bible studies, devotional thoughts, personal reflections, stories of God’s faithfulness, and glimpses behind the novels I write. My prayer is that every post points you beyond me and directly to Jesus Christ, the only One who can truly heal wounded hearts and restore what sin, sorrow, and suffering have stolen.
No matter where you have been…
No matter what has happened…
No matter how impossible your situation may seem…
Your story is not over.
The God who redeemed Ruth’s future, restored Peter after his failure, comforted Hagar in the wilderness, welcomed the prodigal son home, and conquered death through the resurrection of Jesus Christ is still writing stories of redemption today.
Perhaps yours is one of them.
So, whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning again, welcome. My prayer is that you leave this place encouraged by God’s Word, strengthened in your faith, and reminded that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted—and that He is still writing beautiful stories of redemption.
